Things to remember:

Above you will find a list of exams from regular obligatory lectures. About final tests/exams/assignments from 1) obligatory workshops/labs/seminars, 2) some of the blocked courses (even obligatory ones), 3) electives and 4) specialization courses you should ask instructors of these courses directly.

If a student is ill on the day of the exam, he/she needs to let the office and the instructor know, by phone or preferably by email on the day of the exam at the latest. Then, the student needs to show an original doctor’s note proving that he/she was ill (if you already have it on the day of the exam, you can scan it or make a photo of it and attach to the email) right after their sick leave finishes. Very important: the doctor’s note cannot be written on the prescription form (in Polish: ‘recepta’), but on a proper certificate form (in Polish: ‘zaswiadczenie lekarskie’). Doctor’s notes written on ‘recepta’ will not be accepted! If you are ill on the exam day and not inform us, you will lose this term.

The make-up session after the winter semester 2016/17 is going to take place on 03-09 Mar 2017. During the make-up session, it will be possible to make up only obligatory lectures and only students who failed the first term or were absent during the first term will be able to take a given make-up exam. The exams will be planned between 03 and 09 March and not before and not after. Please take that into account when planning anything at the time of the make-up session.

Students of Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 should remember that they need to obtain a ‘pass’ from the empirical paper (Year 3) or Master’s seminar (Years 4 and 5) till the end of the winter session. Empirical Paper: to get a 'pass' after the winter semester, you need to prepare an outline of the paper and a list of references (+do what your tutor wants you to do). Master’s seminar: to get a pass after the 1st semester (4th year), you need to formulate a research problem (or define the area of topics) and prepare a list of references. To get a pass after the 3rd semester (5th year), you need to conduct an empirical study connected with the topic of the thesis. These are minimum requirements and your tutor may ask you for more if they wish. If you go to your tutor on the last day of the session for the first time, you will probably not be given a pass. If you do not receive a pass after the winter semester, that will automatically mean a conditional pass (= extra payment!).
