[All Students] Some info about what is needed to fully complete the 2015/16 academic year

Dear Students,

Those of you who already have all the grades and ECTS you need (60 after the year) and your courses are linked to the program and 2015/16 semesters (you may check that on your USOS account), you don’t wait for any make-up exam etc., please submit the program for check-up in USOSweb as soon as possible: log in -> student’s section -> promotions -> deliver this program for checkup. It will take you 15 seconds.

This way we will know that you are not waiting for any grade, you fulfilled all requirements and you can be safely put on the list of a higher year for the next semester. This is especially important if you need a transcript or a statement saying that you have passed the year 2015/16 and you are enrolled in the year 2016/17.

If you have a make-up exam in the September exam session, don’t deliver your program for checkup now. You will do that after you know your new grade. Don’t forget that the make-up exam session in September is only for obligatory lectures (so not for BCS, Experimental Psychology, SDM, Empirical Paper, electives and specialization courses).

Remember that you need to have courses worth at least 60 ECTS linked to semesters of the 2015/16 academic year. In these 60, there need to be all obligatory courses for your year, all the other obligations if there are any for your year (eg. a PE class) and as many electives/OGUNs/language courses to make it 60 ECTS linked to the 2015/16 academic year (both semesters). Linking will be open as long as you don’t deliver your program for check-up, so you can make any corrections/adjustments right now.

If you don’t have 60 ECTS linked to this year, this means a conditional pass to the next year. In this situation you need to write a request to the Dean (eg. via USOS) to conditionally accept you to the next year. Write how many ECTS you are missing and/or which obligations you have not completed. Only a maximum of 2 conditions are allowed in order to be able to go to the next year (eg. 2 obligatory courses failed or 1 obligatory course failed + not enough ECTS or just not enough ECTS etc.).

If you have more ECTS than 60 from this year, leave the excess of ECTS as linked only to the program. This way you will be able to link these additional ECTS in the future semesters.

If you completed a course from a higher year (eg. you are going for Erasmus and don’t want to come back with program differences, so you took an obligatory course from a higher year), please leave this course linked only to the program. You will link it to the year when this course is required. ECTS from this course will count in the year when it is required.

If you had a conditional pass this year and you had to repeat an obligatory course from a lower year, please link this course to the lower year in USOS (it needs to be linked to the year when it is required). Eg. if you are on the 2nd year, but you repeated 1st year’s Statistics, link this course to the spring semester of the 1st year in USOS as it’s a requirement for the 1st year. Another example: you conditionally passed to the current year, because you were missing eg. 3 ECTS in the previous year. What you should do now is link a course worth 3 ECTS to a semester of the previous year and, apart from that, you need to link 60 ECTS to any semester of the current academic year.

Now it is also a good moment to think if you have paid all payments for the 2015/16 academic year (not only the tuition fee, but also eg. additional PE classes, language tokens, dormitory, conditional passes if you have any etc.).
