Psychological Aspects of Asylum Seeking and Migrations - psychologists' challenges and duties

Dear Students,

You are invited to take part in an open lecture and discussion related to refugees and the role of psychologists in this process that will take place at our Faculty on Thu, 15 Oct, at 10:15 in Aula. Speakers are going to be psychologists working for a decade with refugees and asylum seekers.

The following key topics will be discussed during the lecture:
- impact of traumatic events on asylum seekers mental health and well-being,
- the procedure of granting asylum, its impact on asylum seekers well-being and methods of identifying and responding to vulnerability,
- role of the host society and special role of psychologists in building social equality and cultural diversity.
